Growing up in the Philippines, I was raised by a father who worked as a seaman. His sacrifices gave our family the life we needed—our needs were met, and even our wants weren’t far behind. But life, as it often does, took a turn we never expected. My dad suffered a stroke that left half of his body permanently paralyzed, and in a blink, everything changed.

That moment stayed with me—not just for the pain it brought, but for the clarity it eventually offered.

Years later, I found purpose as a senior high school teacher, empowering students with knowledge and hope. Teaching was more than a job—it was who I was. But when I moved to Canada at 23 as an international student, I had to leave that passion behind.

That is, until one unexpected presentation changed everything.

It was about life insurance—not just numbers and policies, but how it protects families during life’s hardest moments. I couldn’t help but wonder:

What if my dad had life insurance back then?
What would our life have looked like?
How different would things have been—for him, for us, for me?

That “what if” turned into a mission.
That mission became my calling.
And that calling shaped my next chapter.

I realized I didn’t have to leave my passion behind—I could still teach, but this time, in a different classroom. I became a life insurance advisor, not just to sell a product, but to educate, to guide, and to empower.

Today, I’m a licensed life insurance advisor—still a teacher at heart, but now in a different role. I educate families, friends, and communities so they can make confident decisions and protect what matters most.

This isn’t just a career. It’s my way of helping others avoid the pain we once faced.

Because true peace of mind starts with being prepared.
